EXAMINATION AND PROMOTION RULES
  • On examination days, no student is allowed to enter that examination halls or classrooms before the General Assembly.
  • The will be 1st Unit Test(July), First Term Examination (September), 2nd Unit Test (December) and Final Examination (February & March) during the year in order to give am le opportunities to every student to improve and for parents to know the progress of their children. L.K.G. & U.H.G. children will have 2 assessments during the year.
  • Class IX & X will have 3 exams during the year, quarterly, half yearly and finals. Aggregate marks out of 300 will be taken into consideration and passing marks will be 33%.
  • Students of class I to IX must pass in all major subjects and obtain an average of 33% over the aggregate as per the council rules.
  • During the whole academic year there will be two unit tests consist of 20 each marks and half yearly & final consist of 80 each marks. Passing marks will be taken from the aggregate.
  • No Leave other than medical leave is sanctioned during examination period provided a medical certificate from such medical authority, as will satisfy the Principal, is submitted before the close of the examination, so that appropriate entries will be made in the school records. No medical certificate is will be accepted after the examination over.
  • In any case a medical certificate is not a guarantee for granting promotion. If a student falls sick for a part of the whole examination he/she should have the required pass marks from the other examinations held during the year.
  • Any other leave applied for and taken during examination will be at the risk of the parents and will not be taken into consideration in determining promotion.
  • Examination will not be anticipated nor postponed for individual students. Examinations missed will not be conducted again on any account.
  • Candidates will be disqualified if they are detected in giving or obtaining or attempting to give or obtain unfair assistance at the examination or if they have in their possession white in the examination hall, any book, notes or paper except the question paper of the current exam. Unused answer sheets must be submitted to staff invigilators.
  • Pass marks in each subject is 33%.
  • Absence from a paper or failure in any subject excludes a student from being ranked in order of merit in the examinations.
  • Promotion refused will not be re-considered. All cases of doubt regarding promotion are left entirely to the discretion of the Principal. Parents must not come for reconsideration for promotion. In no case shall a student be promoted on trial.
  • Parents/Guardians must signature the report card when it is sent forth and return it within 3 days.
  • The school does not undertake to retain answer scripts for more than one week after distributing the report cards.
  • A student repeating for two successive years in the same class will be asked to withdraw and T.C. will be issued.
